‘Operation Crackdown’ nets multiple drug arrests in Bradenton

The Bradenton Police Department, in conjunction with the FBI and other federal agencies, arrested seven suspects on drug charges after concluding a three-month operation dubbed “Operation Crackdown.”

Police and the FBI, along with a Homeland Security SWAT team and Coast Guard Investigative Services, executed search warrants at residences in the 2000 block of 21st Avenue West and the 2000 block of 13th Avenue West.

Police made the announcement Friday and said the investigation is ongoing with more arrests expected. Police offered no further details, but some social media posts indicated the raids occurred Thursday afternoon.

The drugs seized during the raids included 23.6 grams of rock cocaine and15 grams of marijuana, as well as paraphernalia and more than $1,100 in cash.

Those taken into custody include:

  • Tavaris Milton, 29, charged with possession of marijuana.
  • Desmond Harley, 38, charged with sale of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.
  • Andreco Parker, 37, charged with sale of cocaine.
  • Markel Isom, 28, charged with sale of cocaine, possession of cocaine, tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Julio Rosado, 34, charged with sale of cocaine and robbery.
  • Casey Collier, 46, sale of synthetic marijuana.
  • Waldemar Vaga, 58, bond revocation for sale of synthetic marijuana.
