He was using fast-food restaurants to molest his victim, Manatee cops say

A 47-year-old man has been charged with lewd and lascivious behavior and unlawful sexual activity with a minor, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say Franscisco Javier Martinez used fast food restaurants throughout the county to sexually assault the victim.

According to the arrest report, the abuse began when the child was as young as 12 years old and occurred on “multiple occasions.”

Deputies say Martinez would pick up the victim and take the child to various fast food locations in Palmetto and Bradenton where he would sexually assault the minor.

Detectives were able to uncover sexual text conversations where Martinez would use various threats to coerce the victim in order to continue to his behavior.

Martinez was booked into the Manatee County jail where he remains in custody on bonds totaling $200,000.
