Bradenton man charged with sexually assaulting a child

A 36-year-old Bradenton construction worker is in custody for sexually assaulting a child under the age of 12, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Police say Jamie Serrano-Delgado had sexual contact with the child on at least one occasion in March and the abuse was disclosed to a doctor on June 5.

Police launched an investigation the day of the disclosure, which led to Serrano-Delgado’s arrest the following day.

According to a heavily redacted arrest report that became available Wednesday, Serrano-Delgado was handcuffed following an interview with police officers on Saturday.

Serrano-Delgado was booked into the Manatee County jail and remains in custody without bond pending a future court date.
