Bradenton man struck and killed in hit-and-run involving an SUV, troopers say

The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a dark-colored SUV who struck and killed a 43-year-old Bradenton man on Thursday night.

Troopers say the incident took place around 9:17 p.m. near the intersection of 15th Street East and 63rd Avenue East.

According to the crash report, the unidentified victim was “on or near the roadway” at 6410 15th Street East when when the unknown driver struck the man with the right front of his vehicle.

The suspect drove away from the crash, heading south on 15th Street East with front-end damage, and possibly dragging a front bumper, troopers say.
