Two charged in home invasion. Weapon of choice? A frying pan, Manatee deputies say

Two Palmetto men are being charged with home invasion after robbing a man on his boat on Terra Ceia Bay around 8 p.m. Sunday.

Jason Bembry, 46, and Jason Ison, 45, were booked into the Manatee County jail and remain in custody on $5,000 bonds.

Ison faces a more severe charge of home invasion with a weapon after he used a frying pan to threaten the victim’s life, according to the arrest report.

Deputies say Ison and Bembry entered the man’s boat and stole several items.

Deputies made contact with the suspects in the 6000 block of U.S. 19 a short time later and recovered all of the stolen property, according to the report.
