South Florida man charged in death of Bradenton woman in traffic crash

A 32-year-old Clewiston man has been charged with vehicular homicide in the death of a 26-year-old Bradenton woman in September, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP announced the charges on Tuesday.

According to the original crash report dated Sept. 7, 2019, Francesca Antoine was driving on State Road 80 just before 2 p.m. when Larry Gerome Willis, 32, attempted to pass Antoine in a no-passing zone curve in the highway near County Road 833.

Antoine attempted to swerve out of Willis’ way, but he made contact with Antoine’s Kia Rio and drove her off the highway. Antoine was pronounced dead at the scene.

In addition to being charged with vehicular homicide, Willis is charged with driving with a suspended license.
