Bradenton man charged with molesting child
A 58-year-old Bradenton man is charged with molesting a child under the age of 12, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say Floyd Thormodson admitted to the crime during a recorded call with a family member of the victim.
According to the arrest warrant, which became public earlier this week, Thormadson is not related to the victim. Thormadson also admitted to the allegations during an interview with detectives, according to the report.
Thormodson was originally booked into the Manatee County jail on Feb. 9. The state attorney’s office added a second charge of lewd and lascivious molestation on March 4 and he remains in custody on a $100,000 bond.
