Holmes Beach man charged with capital sexual battery on a child

A 35-year-old Holmes Beach man is facing two counts of capital sexual battery against a child and two counts of molestation, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

According to court documents, the investigation started in June 2019.

The results of that investigation led to a warrant being issued for William Erik Bobo on Feb. 26 and he was booked into the Manatee County jail on bonds totaling $350,000 the following day..

According to jail records, Bobo posted bond and was released on March 3. A condition of his pretrial release is that he be electronically monitored and have no contact with children.

The age of the victim was listed at being under 12 years old at the time of the incident, according to court documents.

Bobo pleaded not guilty to the charges on March 4 and a trial date has not yet been set.
