‘I’ll kill anybody in here.’ Man pulls gun in Bradenton Burger King drive-thru, cops say
A 29-year-old man has been arrested after pulling a gun and threatening to shoot people after being honked at in a Burger King drive-thru lane in the 3800 block of First Street East, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Marco Guevara was arrested just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning and charged with aggravated assault, carrying an unlicensed firearm, improperly exhibiting a firearm and resisting arrest.
Deputies say Guevara was in the drive-thru lane when a woman pulled in behind him as the drive-thru lane was closing down for the night. She honked her horn once, deputies say, to get Guevara to pull out of the lane so she could get out as well, at which time Guevara got out of his vehicle and began cursing at her.
According to the arrest report, Guevara then pulled a pistol from his waistband, waved it around and said, “I’ll kill anybody in here!”
The victim put her car in reverse and escaped the drive-thru lane and called 911.
Deputies say they arrived to see Guevara walking away from the restaurant and refused several orders to stop before being taken into custody.
According to the report, deputies found him with a fully loaded pistol with one round in the chamber as described by the victim.
Guevara’s bond totaled $11,700 on the charges. He posted it and was released the following day.
