Former computer technician charged with multiple counts of child porn, Sarasota cops say

A 29-year-old Sarasota man was arrested Thursday on nine counts of child pornography possession, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.

Andre Esparra, who lived in the 1700 block of North Allendale Drive, lists himself as a former computer technician for Goodwill.

Deputies received a tip in October from Yahoo! that the images of children in various nude poses were uploaded to an account known to be owned by Esparra.

Detectives spoke to Esparra in January, who told law enforcement that he entered a site called “Omegle” intending to speak to women, but while on the site, received the nude images of children.

Upon receiving the images, Esparra said he emailed the photos to himself for, “later use,” the report states.

Deputies say Esparra admitted he knew what he was doing and he knew that it was wrong.

Esparra was booked into the Sarasota County jail on nine counts of child porn possession and is being held without bond.
