Sarasota man pierced his genitals with diamonds. He then made an even worse decision, cops say
A 32-year-old Sarasota man has been charged with sending photos of his diamond-pierced genitals to a 13-year-old girl, according to the North Port Police Department.
Raymond Sanders III had been wanted by North Port police since August. He was arrested by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday on unrelated charges.
According to the warrant, Sanders sent several inappropriate text messages and images to a 13-year-old middle school student after taking the victim and a friend to the zoo.
The incidents began over the summer and escalated to Sanders sending the child images of his diamond-pierced genitals and videos of her friend’s mother performing oral sex on him, police say.
Both Sanders and his girlfriend refused to cooperate with the investigation, but a warrant was obtained to search Sanders’ body while he was in jail. The piercing was confirmed, police say.
According to the warrant, the juvenile victim had deleted the images sent to her in fear that she would get in trouble, however, other juvenile witnesses had seen the images.
Probable cause was developed and Sanders was arrested on charges of using of an electronic device to seduce or solicit a child for sex acts and sending electronic transmissions that are harmful to a minor.
He remains in custody without bond, pending a future court date.
