East Bradenton house hit by bullets in drive-by shooting

An east Bradenton home was struck during a drive-by shooting late Monday night, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

No injuries were reported.

At 11:16 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to the 800 block of 31st Avenue East to reports of shots being fired. A resident told deputies that he was inside his mother’s home when he heard about 10 gunshots.

“He stepped outside and realized the bullets struck his mother’s home,” one deputy wrote in an incident report.

Deputies found three bullet holes in the home’s exterior, and also recovered a shell casing and a bullet projectile, according to the report.

Detectives with the Violent Crimes Taskforce have been unable to locate any surveillance video that captured the shooting and have no leads on potential suspects.
