Deputies investigating Friday night armed robbery of Sarasota Chick-fil-A
The sheriff’s office is searching for a suspect who wore a Superman hat in an armed robbery attempt at a local Chick-fil-A Friday night.
Around 10:11 p.m., a man in his late 20s or early 30s armed with a silver/chrome semi-automatic pistol entered the restaurant in the 5300 block of Fruitville Road and demanded money from the employees, according to a news release. He then fled on foot into the parking lot and left in an unknown direction, deputies say.
According to a report from Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was wearing dark clothing, clothes and yellow bandana across his face. No employees or customers were injured in the incident.
