Man found shot but alive near Parrish road, cops say

One person was flown to a hospital early Monday after being found shot in a road, according to Manatee County Emergency Communications officials.

An 18-year-old man was found shot multiple times but alive on a farm dirt road in the 18500 block of County Road 675 leading to Pacific Tomato Growers shortly after 6:38 a.m., according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was flown to Blake Hospital as a trauma alert after the helicopter landed on County Road 675, according to ECC officials.

He told investigators he did not know who shot him or where or when he was shot, according to the sheriff’s office.

Detectives are investigating the incident.
