The guy using nude photos to blackmail her into quitting her job? It was another cop.

A former Florida police officer was sentenced Wednesday after blackmailing his Florida police officer ex-girlfriend with nude photos.

James Krey, 40, got 30 days in jail and three years’ probation from Broward Circuit Court Judge Dennis Bailey, according to WPLG-Channel 10, after his January conviction on one count of extortion. He is no longer a member of the Davie police force.

When Krey was still a Davie officer, he extorted fellow officer and ex-girlfriend Brittany Assam into leaving her shift to meet him on March 9, 2015, by threatening to send pornographic photos of her to co-workers, according to the Coral Springs police arrest report. As she got home from that meeting, Assam received two photos of her from Krey via text, one of which was a vaginal close-up. The caption: “Leave Davie.”

Assam said she would leave Davie and pleaded with Krey to stop, pleas that he answered with, “No. I’m going to ---- you as much as you’ve ----ed me, my dear.”

Assam pointed out, “I never did anything to mess with you at work,” to which Krey responded, “And you can’t.”

Assam texted, “Jimmy, please don’t destroy me. I’ll leave the department.” Krey replied, “Your gonna have to leave Broward, sweetheart. Anywhere you go, I have people.”

Then, Krey texted close-up shots of Assam and her genitals. During a later phone call, the arrest report says, Krey told Assam if she didn’t resign, he’d share all the photos and videos he had of her with his SWAT team in three days at their training.

Assam went to the Coral Springs Police Department on March 10, 2015. Krey figured out that Coral Springs cops were listening on a phone call with Assam. But he didn’t sense a Coral Springs cop using Assam’s phone to respond to four pictures of Assam’s vagina with, “Why are you sending this?”

Krey: “I’ll find someone to care.”

Officer using Assam’s phone: “Fine, then I don’t have to quit my job.”

Krey: “LOL, if you can handle the embarr … embarrassment, I guess not.”

Before sentencing Wednesday, the court received 18 letters vouching for Krey’s character and as a father to a son and two daughters.
