Hillsborough County deputies have arrested a suspect in connection to a double homicide that occurred on Jan. 24 in Ruskin.

Authorities charged Samona Louise Ramey, 32, of Wimauma with first degree felony murder with a firearm, according to a news release.

HCSO responded to 2611 14th Avenue SE the morning of Jan. 24 after receiving a report of two dead people inside a house.

Investigators classified the case as a double homicide. The medical examiner's office determined that both victims — Juanita Solorzano, 33, and Alexis Martinez, 24 — both died of gunshot wounds.

Detectives said they have established a possible motive, and do not believe the crime was a random act.

Detectives say they have also obtained a surveillance photo of an unidentified male suspect. They are trying to identify and locate the man so they can question him, deputies say.

Ramey has been booked into Orient Road Jail without bond.
