Florida mother killed in drive-by shooting. Her husband and daughter were in the car too, police say

A mother killed in a drive-by shooting Sunday night in Clearwater was identified by police.

Elizabeth Rosado, 30, of Palm Harbor, was in the front passenger seat of a Nissan Sentra in the 1500 block of Scranton Avenue when she was shot and killed, according to Clearwater police.

Rosado was in the vehicle with her 10-year-old daughter and her husband, police said. No one else was injured in the shooting.

Investigators told Spectrum Bay News 9 that multiple shots were fired and it remains unclear if the shooter and Rosado had any connection.

“It's a incredible tragedy that this 30-year-old woman lost her life in such a senseless way, so we're asking anybody who has any information on this crime to call us,” Rob Shaw of the Clearwater Police Department told Bay News 9.

Police are searching for a white Cadillac that was seen in the are when the incident occurred, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
