Woman killed in Clearwater shooting

A 30-year-old woman was killed in a drive-by shooting Sunday night in Clearwater, police said.

The shooting happened in the 1500 block of Scranton Avenue.

Police said the woman was passenger in a Nissan Sentra. Other people inside the vehicle were not injured.

The suspect's vehicle may be a white Cadillac, police said.

Belleair Road was closed Sunday night between Myrtle Avenue and MLK Jr Avenue.

Drivers were urged to avoid the area while police investigate.
