A UPS driver was arrested and later fired from his job after he stole a package that he delivered to a St. Pete Beach home hours earlier, according to authorities.

Jason Mohn, 47, of St. Petersburg, was booked into Pinellas County jail on Wednesday and faces a charge of grand theft. He is being held in lieu of $2,000 bail, according to jail records.

Mohn delivered a package containing an Apple iPhone X to a home in St. Pete Beach on Tuesday around 5:37 p.m., according to the arrest report.

He then returned about two hours later and stole the package off the porch, putting it under his shirt and running away. Both the delivery and theft were caught on two home security cameras that were on the front porch, deputies said.

A UPS investigator found the iPhone the following day inside Mohn’s work area next to his belongings.
