Life in prison for Florida man in child porn case, with victims as young as 2
A man has been sentenced to life in prison for producing and distributing child pornography, with one victim as young as 2 years old.
According to the Associated Press, court records from Thursday show a federal judge imposed the sentence on 32-year-old Scott Joseph Trder of Port St. Lucie. Trader had previously pleaded guilty to the charges.
From November 2014 through May 2017, Trader, investigators say, recorded himself sexually abusing two minor girls entrusted to his care, including the 2-year-old.
Authorities also said that Trader coerced dozens of minors to send him child pornography using social media. Trader also collected child pornography from the internet, including abuse of infants and toddlers, sadism and masochism, and bestiality, the AP reported.
He also distributed large amounts of the images to others online.
