Drive-by shooting in Seminole Heights not related to four unsolved murders
Police were called to investigate a drive-by shooting Friday night in the Seminole Heights community.
However, Tampa police believe the drive-by shooting, near 23rd Street and Lake Avenue, is not related to the shooting deaths of four people since Oct. 9 in the community, according to Spectrum Bay News 9.
The vehicle involved in the shooting crashed in the 800 block of Conover Street and the driver was detained, WFLA News Channel 8 reported. A passenger also in the car has been identified by police, though it is unclear if they will face charges.
The name of the suspect has not been released.
“At this time we have not identified any victims with injuries,” police said in a statement to WTSP 10 News.
