A man was stabbed outside a bar, now deputies are searching for the suspect

A 35-year-old man was taken to the hospital early Saturday morning after he was reportedly stabbed after a confrontation, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to La Jaula, 5645 15th St. E., Bradenton around 2:20 a.m., where the 35-year-old and his girlfriend stopped to order tacos from the taco stand in the parking lot.

According to deputies, the woman’s ex-boyfriend was also at La Jaula, and the two men got into a verbal altercation. A third man, who was apparently with the ex-boyfriend, intervened in the argument and stabbed the 35-year-old who was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans, standing about 5-feet 3-inches tall, according to the sheriff’s office.
