Florida man howled in street, climbed onto roof of home. He thought he was meeting a DEA agent
A Vero Beach man and his family woke in the middle of the night to the sound of a man howling, according to reports.
The man and his three sons woke up around 6 a.m. on Saturday when they heard someone howling and walking down the street, WPTV reports.
About two hours later, the man reported hearing someone walking on the roof of his home in the 1800 block of Fourth Lane, according to WPTV.
When deputies arrived, Futch, 31, told them he was on the roof to meet a DEA agent, though he didn’t know the agent.
He also said he had injected methamphetamine around 2 a.m., according to WPTV.
Jail records show Futch was arrested Sunday and charged with misdemeanor trespassing. He remained in the Indian River County jail Wednesday morning on a $500 bond.
