–Two men shot at a police officer’s cruiser and then at his house overnight on Tuesday while the officer’s family slept inside, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office and the Zephyrhills Police Department are working to find two men they say fired rounds at an officer’s police car and home in the area of Ninth Street and 14th Avenue sometime between 3:30-4:30 a.m.

Two men walked onto the officer’s property, police said, and fired rounds into the officer’s police vehicle that was parked in the driveway. The men then fired several shots into the home while the family slept inside.

The officer and his family were not injured.
