CVS customer shoots would-be armed robber, police say

A customer inside a Perrine CVS opened fire after another man walked into the store and pulled out a gun in an attempt to rob it, police said.

The incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night at the CVS, 11503 Quail Roost Drive, in south Miami-Dade.

Police say the shot man left.

Shortly after, a man with a gunshot wound showed up at Jackson Memorial South, according to police.

Detectives are trying to determine whether that man is the same man who was shot at CVS.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
