Cops resolve dispute by blaring ‘Why Can’t We Be Friends?’
Jacksonville Sheriff’s deputies solved a domestic dispute with a little War.
A video recorded last week shows two men were involved in an expletive-laced argument, its content unclear.
As one of the men off camera demanded, “Prove it,” War’s “Why Can’t We Be Friends?” cues in as if it were a movie.
“What are y’all arguing about?” one deputy asks as the music falls silent.
According to the Florida Times-Union, the man in the video wearing a white tanktop accused the videographer’s friend of posting pictures on Facebook. The argument happened on Oct. 22.
“Officers handle calls in different ways,” a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Facbook post read Monday. “A song diffused the situation, nobody went to jail and the situation was resolved.”
