‘Bring his head to me,’ Tampa mayor tells police

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn has already made it clear that police will not rest until a killer in Seminole Heights is caught.

Wednesday, Buckhorn and Interim Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan spoke with officers during their evening roll call, Spectrum Bay News 9 reported.

“You guys go hunt him down and bring his head to me,” Buckhorn told the patrol officers.

He went on to call the killings of Anthony Naiboa, Monica Hoffa and Benjamin Mitchell a “violent crime,” and reiterated that officers will continue to work until the killer is in custody, according to Bay News 9.

“We are going door to door. We are asking people if they have camera systems, if they’ve seen anything. We're asking who lives there,” said Dugan.

Police have already had a heavy presence in the area, stepping up patrols in efforts to catch the killer and gather information.

Buckhorn added that good police work and information from the community will solve the case, Bay News 9 reported.

"We've never experienced a crime like this before, and so crimes like this call for unusual measures,” Buckhorn said.
