Police search for jewelry thief

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who allegedly stole multiple items of jewelry from Intrigue at DeSoto Square mall on Thursday.

The suspect is a black male with a medium build, according to the sheriff’s office. He has a few days’ growth of a beard and was last seen wearing a black shirt and khaki shorts.

According to reports, the suspect asked to see multiple items of jewelry before snatching them from the salesman and fleeing the store around 3 p.m.
