He’s known as the ‘Shaky Bandit’ — and he robs lots of banks

Here’s a sign when cops consider a bank robber more than mundane: They give him a nickname.

The FBI believes the “Shaky Bandit” robbed his 10th and 11th Florida bank in a 20-day span on Monday. Robberies Nos. 1 through 9 occurred in Broward and Palm Beach counties. He seems to be moving generally north.

Investigators refer to him as “Shaky Bandit” because his hands shake during the robberies.

Both of Monday’s robberies followed the same form: He implies he’s armed and demands money from a teller. He then gets the money and leaves without harming customers or bank employees.

Investigators believe the robber hit a Port St. Lucie Chase Bank, 1201 Port St. Lucie Blvd., at 4:54 p.m. and a Palm City Wells Fargo branch, 2801 SW High Meadows Ave., at 5:38 p.m.
