Deputies need help finding wanted convicted felon
Deputies are asking for help finding a convicted felon wanted for new charges of battery and grand theft auto, according to Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 1:15 a.m. Friday, deputies learned of the charges that Angel L. Pineiro-Melendez, 26, is wanted for, according to a news release.
Pineiro-Melendez is 5-foot-7, 170 pounds and has brown eyes, a shaved head and a brown beard. He may be driving a 2005 Dodge Dakota truck bearing Florida tag Y88UWD.
His last known address was 4669 Donovan St., Orlando.
Pineiro-Melendez was released from a Florida prison in January 2014 after serving less than six years on a seven-year prison sentence for armed robbery with a deadly weapon. His criminal history includes more than a dozen arrests. Most recently, he was released from the Orange County jail on Aug. 28 after being arrested for charges of kidnapping and aggravated battery.
Anyone with information about Pineiro-Melendez’s whereabouts is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Section at 941-861-4915.
