An attacker tried to get her into his car. Instead he got an umbrella into his privates

A woman escaped an attempted kidnapping last week by poking her umbrella into his groin.

That’s according to Broward Sheriff’s Office, which released a sketch of the suspect in the Deerfield Beach incident Monday afternoon. The sketch includes the tattoo of the snake or dragon on the left side of his neck. Other identifiers: five-foot-nine, about 180 pounds, dark complexion, short hair, maybe in his 20s.

Also, he probably was seen leaving the area clutching his groin at 3 Wednesday afternoon in the Deerfield Beach area.

The woman told BSO she was walking along the 4000 block of Northwest First Place when a gray Nissan Altima with dark, tinted windows rolled up next to her. The driver yelled at her to get in the car. The woman declined the invitation.

From what the woman told police, the driver didn’t accept rejection well. He began cursing at her as he jumped out of the car and grabbed her arms. He punched her in the face several times. Still, she persisted in her resistance.

Then, she plunhed the umbrella into her attacker’s groin. He threw her to the ground. She ran off.
