Inmate who escaped Hernando County work detail captured
An inmate who escaped from work detail Thursday morning has been captured, according to reports.
Joshua Holmes, 36, was captured in Masaryktown, in the southern part of Hernando County, according to a Facebook post from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
Holmes had been assigned to a work detail at the Northwest Solid Waste Management Facility in Brooksville while serving time for grand theft auto. He left the facility without permission Wednesday, according to Bay News 9.
Masaryktown is about 20 miles south of the Brooksville facility.
