Traffic stop leads to fraud, drug charges for two men, deputies say

Two Sarasota men are facing multiple charges, including fraud and drug possession, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

Just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, deputies arrested Eric Przenioslo, 29, and Jeremy Lorber, 24, after a traffic stop, according to a news release.

Przenioslo was charged with five counts of possession of identification of another person without consent. He is being held at the Sarasota County jail on bonds totaling $7,500. Lorber was charged with 12 counts of possession of identification of another person without consent and possession of methamphetamine. He is being held on bonds totaling $19,500.

Lorber’s criminal history includes a prior arrest in May for charges of possession of heroin, possession of narcotics equipment and driving with a revoked license. In that arrest, deputies reportedly found 1.2 grams of heroin, a half gram of methamphetamine with a 10th of a gram inside a syringe, as well as a hydromorphone pill, more syringes, a metal pipe and two scales in the car he was driving.

Przenioslo’s prior arrests include for charges of burglary, theft, fraud, and dealing in stolen property.

Deputies stopped Lorber and Przenioslo Tuesday in the area of Selma Street and Vinson Avenue in Sarasota, according to the report. Each consented to a search of the vehicle and their person.

Deputies found multiple stolen credit cards and fraudulent checks when they searched Przenioslo. In Lorber’s wallet, deputies found more fraudulent checks and methamphetamine. Deputies also found additional identifications belonging to others in two notebooks inside of Lorber’s backpack.

Inside Przenioslo’s backpack was a laptop that had check writing software, he told deputies after being read his rights, according to the sheriff’s office. The computer along with several cell phones and sim cards were seized as part of the investigation.

A third person who was in the vehicle during the traffic stop was released by deputies, according to reports. The investigation remains ongoing.
