Six arrested in undercover prostitution sting

Six men, including a Bradenton man, were arrested during an undercover sting targeting men soliciting prostitutes, according to the Sarasota Police Department.

On Thursday, the Sarasota Police Department Street Crimes Unit, Patrol Division and Narcotics Division teamed up to conduct the undercover operation along North Tamiami Trail in Sarasota, according to a news release.

Five men arrested and charged with soliciting a prostitute include a 41-year-old Bradenton man, a 51-year-old Venice man, a 40-year-old Sarasota man, a 72-year-old Venice man and a 56-year-old New York man.

A 61-year-old Sarasota man, who was a driver, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest without violence.
