This is what happens when fireworks are set off inside a Wendy’s
The Broward Sheriff’s Office would like to find the pranksters who waited until July 5 to set off their fireworks in a Deerfield Beach Wendy’s.
At 9:55 p.m., the fireworks flared in an almost deserted dining area. Surveillance video shows only an employee at the 355 W. Hillsboro Blvd. establishment in the dining room when the explosives began going “boom.”
The first explosion gets little response from the employee. He moves when spitting sparks accompany the second explosion.
BSO detectives believe eight to 10 young men were in on the prank, which left a seven-inch hole at the wall’s base. The pranksters ran shirtless or in T-shirts to the north, through the parking lot.
Anyone who knows anything about this can contact BSO Detective Devoune Williams at 954-321-4235; or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or the Broward Crime Stoppers website.
