Another drive-by shooting in Sarasota, cops say
Another drive-by shooting in Sarasota happened Sunday evening, according to the Sarasota Police Department.
A report of shots fired was reported in the area of 31st Street and Goodrich Avenue around 5:30 p.m. A passenger of a silver SUV shot at a silver sedan, and several rounds were fired before both cars left the area.
The shooting comes nearly one week after a similar drive-by shooting was reported a block away near 32nd Street and North Washington Boulevard last week, though police have not said the two incidents are related. The motive for the shooting is currently unknown.
