Man survives shooting in Palmetto

A 42-year-old man was shot early Friday in Palmetto, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was in the 2200 block of Second Avenue East, when he was shot in the knee by an unknown person, according to a news release.

An investigation is continuing, according to the sheriff’s office.
