Well, he didn’t shoot his eye out, but he did get shot by his own gun.

Jason M. Trigger, 35, was in the Dollar General along Highway 19 in Hudson when the gun fell from his waistband, according to a Bay News 9 report.

When it hit the floor, it went off, firing a shot into Trigger’s ankle, Bay News 9 reported.

Trigger went to Bayonet Point Hospital to be treated, where Pasco County Sheriff’s Office officials found him.

Trigger was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to Bay News 9.
