Missing boy, 9 lived in house damaged in fire

A missing child alert has been issued for a 9-year-old Malabar boy, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Sebastian Meachum was reported missing after a deadly house fire in Brevard County earlier in the day.

Firefighters were called to a two-story house in the 800 block of Atz Road around 10:30 a.m. The house was severely damaged.

One person was found dead inside, but firefighters were unable to continue searching the house because of unsafe conditions.

The child is believed to be with two adults, 39-year-old Tony Hughes and 39-year-old Chrissy Hughes. All three lived at the house.

Tony Hughes was last seen wearing a black Harley Davidson t-shirt, blue jeans and black boots.

Authorities said they may be traveling in an 18-foot boat.

Law enforcement is advising anyone who might see them to call 911 or the Brevard County Sheriff's Office at 321-264-5217.
