Masked gunman robs gas station

An armed robber demanded cash from a gas station early Monday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

The man — who was described as wearing white socks with black shoes, hoodie, shorts and mask — walked into the Circle K located at 904 30th Ave. E. around 4 a.m. and told the clerk to give him money, according to the sheriff’s office. He took an unknown amount and fled the store. No one was injured.
