Detectives with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office have released photos of a person they think might have information on an aggravated battery and attempted robbery in Palmetto.

Around 11 p.m. May 12, a 33-year-old man was coming home in the 900 block of 21st Avenue West in Palmetto when someone came up to him and demanded his wallet, according to the sheriff’s office. The person grabbed the man’s arm and, when he pulled away, he was shot in the arm, the sheriff’s office reported.

The suspect fled the scene and the man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
