Manatee deputies conduct DUI saturation patrol

Deputies made two arrests and handed out 47 tickets late Friday and early Saturday during a DUI saturation patrol, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office news release.

The sheriff’s traffic unit conducted the patrols throughout Manatee County.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, more than 17,000 people are killed and another 305,000 are injured annually in the United States as a result of impaired drivers.
