Fake bail bondsman arrested again for scam

A 46-year-old man posing as a bail bondsman was arrested again Thursday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim, a 52-year-old woman, paid Jefferson Juerakhan more than $3,250 to bail out her son, according to the sheriff’s office.

Police say Juerakhan wasn’t appointed by an agency to be a bail bondsman at the time.

Juerakhan was charged with grand theft and impersonating a bail bond agent. He was arrested on Nov. 6 on similar charges and is being held at the Manatee County jail on a $7,500 bond.
