Pedestrian critically injured in Sarasota hit-and-run
A pedestrian hit by a car Tuesday evening is in critical condition, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Around 7:43 p.m., a 61-year-old Sarasota woman was walking on Gulf Gate Drive when a car hit her and fled the scene, according to the FHP report. She was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for her injuries.
