The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a witness to the Sept. 11 slaying of Earnestine Gardner.

Jody Pierce, 39, is believed to be a witness, according to a sheriff’s office press release.

Gardner was shot in front of a Bradenton house in the early hours of Sept. 11. The 44-year-old later died of her injuries and officials suspect the shooting was the result of a dispute over drugs.
