5 arrested in undercover prostitution bust

Sarasota police arrested five men — four from Sarasota and one from Bradenton — during an undercover investigation targeting prostitution along North Tamiam Trail.

The operation took place Thursday in the 4700 block of Tamiami Trail, police said in a news release.

Five men were charged with solicitation of prostitution, and three vehicles were seized, police said.

The men ranged in age from 21 to 54.
