Horse runs into crowd at modern Pentathlon after being spooked at Benderson Park
A horse who was set to compete in a modern pentathlon was spooked by high winds and charged into a crowd of spectators at Nathan Benderson Park on Tuesday morning.
High winds spooked a horse in a fenced-in practice area. The animal escaped and ran toward bleachers,bucking and rearing, sending spectators fleeing. Officials shooed onlookers away from bleachers as the riderless horse bucked with its saddle hanging below its belly.
Eventually, he moved away from spectator area and was caught.
