Manatee County accepts applications for planning commission
Manatee County residents wishing to serve on the planning commission can apply by Sept. 23 for consideration.
The county is accepting applications for two seats on the board, which makes recommendations to the county commission on land-use items. The seven-member board, which is appointed by the county commissioners, meets on the second Thursday of each month at 9 a.m. in the first floor chambers of the Manatee County Administrative Building, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
“Applicants must be registered voters in Manatee County,” according to a news release. “No particular expertise is required, but people with experience or training in planning, engineering, environmental science and the development industry may be given additional consideration for an appointment.”
Applications can be found at mymanatee.org/home/government/advisory-boards.html. For more information, call Bobbi Roy at 941-748-4501 ext. 6878.
