Man found dead at Port Manatee had health condition
Investigators have determined that the Palm Bay man who was found dead near a semi-truck at Port Manatee on Tuesday morning had a medical condition.
At about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, deputies with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office were called out to Port Manatee to reports of a man being found unconscious next to a semi-truck. Christopher Neely, 33, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Neely was believed to have fallen from his truck and hit his head on the pavement.
An autopsy performed Thursday determined that he had a medical condition, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Dave Bristow. Further testing is being done to determine Neely’s cause of death.
