Manatee Veterans Council seeking nominations to honor volunteers

The Manatee Veterans Council is seeking nominations to honor:

• Veteran of the Year (any veteran who has done great, verifiable volunteer work in Manatee County).
• Auxiliary of the Year (any veteran service organization of women, sons and daughters, and riders that have volunteered to make a difference).
• Non-veteran business/government/church or other service-related organization that have volunteered, making a difference for veterans and their immediate family members.

Awards nomination packages are due via postal mail to Manatee Veterans Council, P.O. Box 1881, Bradenton, FL 34206-1881 or by email to chair@my-mcvc.org no later than Aug. 18. Guidelines for nominations packets can be found at my-mcvc.org/8.html.

Honorees will be recognized on Veterans Day.
